The Job Coach is responsible for providing onsite interventions to individuals who are working in the community to assist with the training and maintenance of the individual's job in the community that is consistent with their vocational goals.
Provide training for individuals with physical and other disabilities in competitive community jobsCreate systematic training and assessment programs to ensure rehabilitative development, service delivery, and proper case reportingProvide worksite job assistance and aide care when necessaryPromotes workplace safetyCompete career development/job development assessments with individuals as needed
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field are preferred. High School Diploma will be considered in certain circumstancesAn equivalent combination of education and work experience may be acceptableExperience in the supported employment services field, especially with adults with development disabilities, is preferredMust have the ability to work in a variety of environmentsMust demonstrate a willingness to travel to job sitesMust demonstrate a willingness to follow a flexible work schedule based on participant needs.Must have demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skillsMust have a demonstrated ability to maintain positive relationships and collaborations with customersMust be able to deliver effective services and results in a competitive environmentMust have a valid NYS Driver's License

While performing the duties of this position, the employee travels by automobile and/or Agency Van and will be exposed to changing weather conditions.
This position requires tasks that involve exposure to blood or body fluids that requires specific training for the employees' safety. All EPILEPSY-PRALID, INC employees are offered the opportunity to receive Hepatitis B vaccination series.
Salary Range :12.0000 To 12.5000 (USD) Hourly
