Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package. Our starting minimum wage for direct care professionals is $16 per hour. We also offer excellent benefits, flexible full-time and part-time schedules, and opportunities to grow and advance your career.

Holidays

EPI offers full-time and part-time employees nine paid holidays.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

Eligible part-time and full-time employees begin accruing paid time off (PTO) from the date of hire. Rates of accrual increase with years of employment, up to more than six weeks per year.  EPI employees are also able to carry over unused PTO to the following year, up to the maximum annual accrual.

Health Reserve Bank

EPI recognizes that employees’ health and well-being is important and that circumstances beyond one’s control can arise. EPI provides a Health Reserve Bank option that employees may utilize during instances of non-work-related short-term disability, worker’s compensation injury, or medically certified family medical leave. Once an eligible employee reaches their maximum PTO accrual, additional PTO accruals will be automatically rolled into the employee’s Health Reserve Bank.

Paid Training

We invest in our employees’ careers from the very start by providing all employees with paid training time for the necessary requirements for Direct Support Professionals, including CPR & First Aid, SCIP-R, Medication Passing, and DSP Core Competencies. And we continue to support our staff with on the job training. Training is a combination of in-person and online training.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

At EPI, we are committed to supporting our employees’ total wellbeing. EPI’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers free and confidential assessments, counseling, referrals, and follow-up services to employees and their families.  EAP is offered at no cost to the employee and is available 24/7 to all employees and their dependents.  Services include:

  • Counseling on wide array of issues affecting mental and emotional well-being, such as alcohol or substance abuse, stress, grief, family problems, and psychological disorders
  • Consultation on legal and financial matters

Success Coach

In addition to the traditional EAP program, EPI offers a further resource for staff – a dedicated, on-site Success Coach. Our Success Coach provides direct connection to community resources for any challenges our employee might be facing at work or at home. Employees who face a crisis from lack of resources, such as food insecurity, housing instability, or transportation challenges, can get immediate, personal, and CONFIDENTIAL relief at the workplace. The Success Coach also provides counseling on career goals, barriers to promotion, training or advanced education for work-based skills or life skills. Our Success Coach can accommodate all shifts and offer off-site locations and alternate meeting times available upon request. Success Coach services are confidential and are provided at no cost to our employees.

Health Insurance: Medical, Vision and Dental Insurance

EPI offers several medical plans, including high deductible and traditional copay plans. EPI also offer comprehensive Dental and Vision plans.

Health Savings Account (HSA)

EPI’s employees who participate in a qualified High Deductible Health Plan may be eligible to set aside money in a Health Savings Account (HSA). The money contributed to an HSA is exempt from taxes and can be spent, tax-free on qualified medical, dental or vision expenses incurred by the employee or his or her dependents. And EPI offer a HSA Employer Contribution up to $500.

Retirement Saving Program

EPI offers 403b Retirement plans and an discretionary employer match to all employee contribution.

Insurance

EPI offers employees Statutory Insurance, which include Disability and Workers’ Compensation. EPI also provides voluntary plans, including Life Insurance, Dependent Life Insurance, AFLAC, Auto and Home Insurance.
