Emily Munstedt

When she’s off the clock, Allison loves to cook for my family! She has a 4 year old daughter who is always asking to make cookies and Allison loves to see her excitement when it comes to making food for her family.

When she’s not cooking, Allison loves spending time with my family as well as being outdoors. When she’s not doing one of those things you can find her completely immersed in a good book.

Allison grew up in a family where food was the heart of most gatherings. Cooking together was what brought everyone together, and she was fortunate to translate that to her career.

Her professional background has always been rooted in food service. Allison initially began her college education in the field of Education before discovering her true calling in Hospitality. She completed the Hospitality program at MCC and went on to work at the Woodcliff Hotel & Spa, where she had the opportunity to learn alongside a very talented Pastry Chef who helped her develop many valuable skills.

Outside of work, Allison enjoys cooking for her family. She has a 4-year old daughter who always asks to make cookies with her, and Allison loves to see her excitement when it comes to making food for her family!

When she’s not cooking, Allison enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, or getting immersed in a book.

Emily was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, where her love of baking began in childhood after watching baking shows on TV and YouTube. She later trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.

Before pursuing a culinary career, Emily studied cello performance at a conservatory and toured internationally as a professional musician. She eventually shifted careers and found her true passion in baking. Throughout her culinary journey, Emily has worked in a five-star resort, a three-Michelin-starred kitchen, and a chocolate shop, collecting and refining recipes along the way to make them her own.

Emily draws her greatest inspiration from her instructors at the CIA, particularly Chef Bill McCarrick, whose enthusiasm for baking helped shape the foundation of her career. Her must-have kitchen tool is a mini offset spatula because they are multifunctional and adorable!

Outside the kitchen, Emily enjoys playing music with friends, attending concerts, indoor rock climbing, and playing board games with her friends
