Adam Bello

Monroe County Executive

Monroe County Executive Adam Bello is prioritizing public safety, public health and infrastructure while facilitating economic and workforce development to Bring Monroe Back stronger.  He is making systemic changes in Monroe County, rethinking and retooling how the County does business, and creating sustainable solutions that will benefit our community for generations to come.

County Executive Bello’s commitment to sound fiscal policies and responsible governance has led to six upgrades in Monroe County’s credit rating since he took office in 2020.  His recently enacted, unanimously approved 2025 County budget reduced the property tax rate to the lowest rate in recorded history – while maintaining, and even expanding, County services.

Adam Bello is a lifelong Monroe County resident. He and his wife Meghan, a public school principal, live with their two children in the Town of Irondequoit.  Prior to his election as Monroe County Executive, Bello served as Monroe County Clerk and Irondequoit Town Supervisor.  Bello’s public service has been guided by the desire to make our community a safer, healthier, and more equitable place to live, work, and raise a family.
