Todd Baxter
Monroe County Sheriff
Monroe County Sheriff Todd Baxter lives by the motto “Family First” —not just in his personal life, but in his career and community service as well. A devoted husband to his high school sweetheart, Mary, and proud father to Kevin and Zachary, Sheriff Baxter brings the same passion for family and service to his leadership in law enforcement and public service.
Before becoming Monroe County’s 49th Sheriff, Baxter served as Executive Director of the Veterans Outreach Center, Inc., where he strengthened financial stability and programs supporting the region’s 68,000 veterans and their families. First elected Sheriff in 2017, and re-elected unproposed in 2021, he has dedicated his tenure to education, rehabilitation, and public safety —from life-skills programs for Monroe County Jail inmates to proactive enforcement addressing retail theft, addiction, and violence.
As a first-time judge at EPI’s Chocolate Ball Cake Competition, Sheriff Baxter is honored to support his meaningful cause. He looks forward to celebrating the creativity and talent of local bakers —all while enjoying some delicious chocolate cake!
