Vinnie Esposito serves as the Senior Vice President for Regional Economic Development at Empire State Development and Assistant Secretary for Upstate Intergovernmental Affairs under New York State Governor Kathy Hochul. His mission is to support Governor Hochul’s vision of making New York more affordable, livable, equitable, and safe by driving economic transformation across Upstate New York.

Vinnie’s work focuses on developing and attracting future workforce, fostering growth in green and tech industries, and revitalizing communities. A strong advocate for Rochester’s resurgence, he encourages young professionals to get involved, recognizing that their talent and commitment are essential to building a more vibrant and equitable city.

As a first-time judge at EPI’s Chocolate Ball Cake Competition, Vinnie is excited to celebrate the creativity and craftsmanship of the talented bakers competing—while, of course, enjoying some incredible chocolate cake. And Go Bills!
