Day Habilitation
EPI Day Habilitation programs are designed to offer adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities opportunities to grow, learn, and interact with others. We offer meaningful activities in both group and individual settings.
In Rochester, we offer both site-based and Day Habilitation Without Walls (WOW) programs. In the Binghamton area, we offer DHWOW. Day Habilitation programs are held five days a week, for up to six hours a day.
EPI Day Habilitation programs offer a supportive environment where we help to develop social and functional skills, to foster independence and integration in the community. Day Habilitation’s activities are designed to support each person’s Life Plan (LP) and are highly tailored to each person’s interests. Daily activities often include:
- Arts and crafts
- Music
- Fitness
- Technology and computer skills
- Independent daily living skills, including cooking and money management skills
- Socialization and communication skills
EPI Day Habilitation programs also include engaging community activities such as: fishing, shopping trips, volunteering at local nonprofit organizations, visits to museums and other cultural institutions.
