Where were you born and raised?
Rochester, NY
What was your introduction to cooking/baking?
When I moved out on my own I taught myself cooking/baking and enjoyed it so I kept learning.
Where and how did you train?
I am currently enrolled at MCC in the Culinary program. Until this point I have been self taught.
Have you always been a chef?
No, I earned my nursing license in 1992 and have been working in the medical field since then.
Where do your recipes come from?
Mostly family recipes with a lot of trial end error.
When you’re “off the clock” do you like preparing meals for friends and family or do you prefer someone else to do it?
Yes, I love cooking for others.
You have a day to eat anything you want. What will your menu look like?
Start with coffee and donut, then egg salad sandwich with milk for lunch, dinner is chicken french with escarole and pasta on the side in the chicken french sauce, followed by a brownie sundae.
What is your favorite thing to bake?
Brownies (to use in brownie sundaes)
What are your best and worst skills?
My worst skill is trying to work with fondant, I just have extreme difficulty with that. My best skill is making flavors that go well together.
Besides baking, what are your other hobbies?
I love to do other crafts such as painting, sewing, and crocheting. I also love DIY around the house
