Where were you born and raised?
In Sri Lanka

What was your introduction to cooking/baking?
I was inspired by some creators in instagram. I started learn from them to create edible arts.

Where and how did you train?
Self -taught

Have you always been a chef? If yes, describe your career path. If no, what else have you done?

I used to be a teacher and a civil service clerk. I quite that job to spend more time with my family.

Where do your recipes come from?
My recipes come from friends and some renowned Brittish bakers.

Is there a chef you admire the most?
Rossalind Miller / Gordan Rumsy/ Emril Garzia/ Anthony Bordain. These chefs brings more capitalize ideas.

When you’re “off the clock” do you like preparing meals for friends and family or do you prefer someone else to do it?
I do try recipes from different countries. I entertain families and friends very often.

You have a day to eat anything you want. What will your menu look like?
Simple rice and chicken curry and a tub full of Vanilla ice cream😊

What is your favorite thing to bake?
Vanilla buttercake

What are your best and worst skills?
My best skill is I am a self learner. Buttercream creatins, fondant and royal icing. My worst skill? Still not found.

Is there a handy baking utensil that you absolutely can’t do without?
Spatulas/ pastry bags

Besides baking, what are your other hobbies?
Acrylic Painting on canvases / sewing garments

Anything else you’d like to share?
I am a mother of a young boy. I have a wonderful husband who is dedicated to me and my son.
