Where were you born and raised?

Born and raised in Honeoye Falls NY.

What was your introduction to cooking/baking?

I have been baking and cooking with my family since I was a child.

Where and how did you train? (Culinary school, internships, self-taught, family member, etc.)

Almost my whole working career has been in the food and beverage industry. I have also learned from family, friends and self

Have you always been a chef? If yes, describe your career path. If no, what else have you done?
For a short time I was an Aquatics supervisor and a Banker but they were not my path.

If you own your own business(s), when did you open and what inspired you to go out on your own??

I had a cottage license working out of my home, and it was taking over my kitchen. The license was also very limited on the products that I could make so I decided to open a brick and mortar in 2019.

Where do your recipes come from (i.e., secret family recipes, trial and error, someone else’s inspiration)?

My recipes are from many different sources. some are from family, some are from morphing base recipes, but most of them are years of inventing.

Is there a chef you admire the most? Who and why?

I have learned and grown from years of working alongside and watching chefs and bakers. There are
many things that I admire about each and every single one of them.

When you’re “off the clock” do you like preparing meals for friends and family or do you prefer someone else to do it?

I thoroughly enjoy cooking meals for family and friends when I am home. I don’t bake goodies at home anymore though. Why bake at home when I have a bakers dream kitchen a couple miles up the road ;-)

You have a day to eat anything you want. What will your menu look like?
This is a terrible question when I am currently on a specific eating plan! lol

What is your favorite thing to bake?

Profiteroles and tarts! I also love making all the different fillings and sauces for my baked goods

What are your best and worst skills? List a baking/decorating skill you have mastered and one that, no matter how hard you try, you just haven’t been able to get the hang of.

I am always honing in on my skills. I don’t have a best one, because in this career I am always getting
better with everything. Even if its already really good. I tend to be my own worst enemy when it comes to judgment on my skills but I definitely know that sugar art and I are not friends!

Is there a handy baking utensil that you absolutely can’t do without?
Offset spatulas. Lots and lots of offset spatulas!

Besides baking, what are your other hobbies?

Unfortunately owning my own business takes up so much of my time, but I do love the outdoors and Yoga, and being in the moment with my family and friends
