Studio E Program

We are excited to offer Studio E: The Epilepsy Art Program to people with epilepsy in the Rochester area!

This year’s program will be taking place on Thursdays at 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM, stating June 21st through August 2nd (Except for July 5th)

Studio E offers group art therapy sessions for adults with epilepsy, allowing them to explore their creativity, meet others with epilepsy and express themselves in an open, accepting and safe group setting. Studio E is offered for free thanks to the generous support of our partners, Lundbeck and OWP Pharma/ROW Foundation.

Community Mosaic Project

Please join us for a series of FREE mosaic making workshops open to youth (ages 5+) and adults with a disability.

Workshops are facilitated by art therapists Sarah Beren, LCAT and Mark Rodgers, MS at Spotted Rabbit Studio. Youth ages 5+ and adults with a disability, as well as their caretaker, are welcome to participate. Space is limited.

Camp EAGR and Camp Coast

Come to Camp EAGR/Camp Coast and enjoy a week of swimming, horseback riding, rock wall climbing, laughing and having fun with kids who also have epilepsy.

Camp EAGR is for children 8-17 with epilepsy and their siblings. Camp Coast is for young adults with epilepsy, aged 18+.

Out of the Shadows 5k

Join us for the 2nd Annual Out of the Shadows 5K

Registration begins at 9am.

There will be raffles baskets, 50/50 and places for kids to play during the event.

Last year Out of the Shadows raised over $15,000 for support and education to help people and families dealing with epilepsy.
We know with your help, we will reach this year's goal of $20,000!

All funds raised will benefit Epilepsy-Pralid, Inc.

Tickets are $5 each and include a picnic dinner and admission to the game.

Food opens at 6pm and the game starts at 7:05pm.

Fireworks are following the game.

Tanya's Trot for Epilepsy 5k Run/Walk

Join us for the 7th Annual Tanya's Trot for Epilepsy 5K Run/Walk. 5k course is officially certified and timed. Other event activities include an epilepsy information booth, baskets and side raffles, and light refreshments.

Tanya's Trot is held in memory of Tanya Johannes, who passed away due to SUDEP in November 2010.

Help us to raise funds to support epilepsy services and research as well as increase awareness of epilepsy and the devastating consequences seizures can have.

CURE Foundation Frontiers in Research Seminar Series: Understanding and Coping with the Risks of SUDEP

Epilepsy-Pralid, Inc. and the University of Rochester Medical Center are excited to host a timely research seminar for medical professionals, family and community members about the risks of sudden unexpected death in patients with epilepsy (SUDEP). The workshop will include presentations by leading medical experts, a panel discussion by parents who lost a child due to sudden death, and a presentation about the recent NYS Legislation for Reporting of SUDEP (Senate Bill S2422). The keynote speaker is Dr. Cynthia Harden, who authored the practice guidelines for SUDEP incidence and risk factors.

Both medical professionals and community members are welcome!

Tickets are:
$80 for medical professionals with 5 hours of CME
$15 for medical professionals without CME
$10 for community members
