13WHAM to air 35th Anniversary Chocolate Ball

The pandemic is forcing some changes to this year’s Chocolate Ball in Rochester, as the event celebrates its 35th anniversary.

The annual event, benefiting Empowering People’s Independence (EPI, formerly known as Epilepsy-Pralid), will be broadcast May 10 at 7:30 p.m. on 13WHAM ABC.

Local pastry chefs will showcase their chocolate cakes, inspired by by Camp EAGR, EPI’s annual summer camp for kids with epilepsy.
13WHAM’s Matt Molloy will co-host the event with Dresden Engle. She joined Matt on Good Day Rochester to discuss this year’s event and how it will benefit families like hers who have been affected by epilepsy.
